Let's stop the harassing calls. We know you can't make good decisions under constant stress. That's why Congress said you can send a "leave me alone" letter. We'll give your a letter to send your creditors that will stop the calls. The collection agencies won't want to keep calling after they get your letter. That's because it will cost them $300 (and actual damages) for each additional call. They can't call your work, either. Or your neighbors. To be clear, the letter does not prevent your creditors from suing you for money they are owed. But at least they won't be calling you at dinner time. If you like, we'll send the letter out for a fee of $5.00 per creditor/address. Then it will be on our letterhead and we will have a record of mailing. We expect creditors to take us seriously, because we mean business.
